# Product Marketing Manager

### About Us

We're building and growing a crypto product suite spanning both a wallet app and PancakeSwap (DEX).

We're looking for a Product Marketing Manager who deeply understands both the wallet and DEX/trading space, and can drive growth strategy across these two connected but distinct user experiences, from wallet onboarding through on-chain trading activity.

### Responsibilities

* Own go-to-market and growth strategy across both the wallet app and PancakeSwap, including cold-start acquisition for new surfaces, seed user cultivation (crypto-native users, KOCs, DeFi power users), and content ecosystem build-out.
* Develop strategies that account for the different user journeys and mindsets between wallet users (onboarding, security, asset management) and DEX users (trading, liquidity provision, yield farming, swaps).
* Drive growth across Douyin, TikTok, X (Twitter), Telegram, and Discord, including KOL/KOC partnerships, content strategy, paid acquisition optimization, and community growth.
* Plan and execute go-to-market campaigns around key milestones, including wallet feature launches, PancakeSwap product updates (new pools, farms, IFOs, V3/V4 features, cross-chain expansion, etc.), token-related events, and airdrops.
* Build and optimize growth funnels tailored to each product:
  * **Wallet:** download → wallet creation/import → first transaction → retention
  * **PancakeSwap:** visit → connect wallet → first swap/LP action → repeat trading behavior
* Own brand positioning and messaging that stays consistent across the wallet and DEX product lines, while tailoring tone to each audience: casual wallet users vs. active DeFi traders.
* Continuously track competitor activity across both categories:
  * **Wallets:** MetaMask, OKX Wallet, imToken, Phantom, Trust Wallet, Rabby
  * **DEXs:** Uniswap, Curve, Raydium, Aerodrome, etc.
  * Translate findings into actionable positioning and growth strategies.
* Design and run crypto-native growth incentive programs (trading competitions, LP incentives, airdrop quests, referral rewards, points systems), balancing growth impact with compliance risk.
* Manage marketing budget and ROI, owning core growth metrics across both products (CAC, wallet activation rate, DEX trading volume, TVL growth, monthly active addresses, retention, etc.).
* Build and manage partnerships with exchanges, chain ecosystems, DeFi protocols, and liquidity partners to unlock co-marketing and ecosystem distribution opportunities.

### Requirements

#### Core Experience

* 3+ years in product marketing or growth marketing, with at least one complete 0-to-1 experience, ideally spanning both consumer wallet products and DeFi/trading products.
* Proven growth track record on Douyin, TikTok, or similar short-video platforms, with concrete, verifiable results (follower growth, conversion rates, GMV, etc.).
* Deep, hands-on familiarity with both the wallet industry and DEX/DeFi trading space. You understand:
  * **Wallet mechanics:** custodial vs. non-custodial, seed phrases, multi-chain support, gas fees
  * **DEX mechanics:** AMM models, liquidity pools, concentrated liquidity/V3, impermanent loss, yield farming, IFOs
* Prior experience marketing a crypto exchange, wallet product, DEX, or DeFi protocol strongly preferred. Direct experience with PancakeSwap or a comparable AMM is a strong plus.

#### Skills & Capabilities

* Fluent in crypto-native growth channels and culture (X/Twitter Spaces, Telegram communities, Discord, on-chain analytics platforms like Dune, DeFiLlama, etc.).
* Strong grasp of growth methodology (AARRR framework, growth hacking tactics) with the ability to adapt these frameworks across different product types and crypto's market cycles.
* Comfortable managing marketing strategy for multiple, connected product surfaces simultaneously without losing brand consistency.
* Data-fluent: comfortable reading on-chain metrics (TVL, trading volume, active addresses, LP activity) and translating them into growth decisions.
* Excellent storytelling and content instincts, able to make both a security-focused wallet product and a technically dense DEX product feel simple and shareable.
* Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, able to work closely with product, engineering, operations, compliance, and community teams across both workstreams.
* Sharp awareness of crypto's regulatory sensitivities and volatile market sentiment (bull/bear cycles), with the ability to adjust marketing tactics accordingly.

### Nice to Have

* Growth experience in overseas markets (Southeast Asia, LatAm, or Western markets).
* Direct hands-on experience trading, providing liquidity, or farming on PancakeSwap or a similar AMM.
* Familiarity with compliance red lines specific to crypto marketing (e.g. avoiding price/ROI implications, token promotion regulations).
* A track record of independently planning and executing airdrop, trading competition, or LP incentive campaigns with a full growth loop.
* An active, credible presence in Web3 as a real user, with genuine on-chain activity and community relationships in the space.

### What We Offer

* A founding/core team seat with direct influence on growth strategy across the full product suite.
* Competitive salary + equity/token incentives (details discussed individually).
* A flat, fast-moving team with short decision cycles.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.pancakeswap.finance/welcome-to-pancakeswap/about-us/team/become-a-chef/product-manager-2.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
