Business Development Manager
Job Summary
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing strategic partnerships that enhance our platform's liquidity, market diversity, and global reach. You'll work closely with product, marketing, and engineering teams to integrate new features, onboard key stakeholders, and foster growth in the crypto prediction space. This role requires a deep understanding of blockchain technology, prediction markets, and business strategy in a decentralized environment.
Key Responsibilities
Partnership Development: Identify and pursue partnerships with crypto exchanges, DeFi protocols, data oracles, influencers, and traditional institutions to integrate our prediction markets into broader ecosystems.
Market Expansion: Drive user acquisition and retention strategies, including collaborations with DAOs, NFT communities, and Web3 projects to increase platform liquidity and market creation.
Business Strategy: Analyze market trends in crypto, prediction markets, and blockchain to develop go-to-market plans, revenue models, and growth initiatives.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and industry leaders, ensuring compliance with crypto regulations (e.g., KYC/AML where applicable).
Sales and Negotiation: Lead negotiations for integrations, sponsorships, and co-marketing deals, aiming to boost platform TVL (Total Value Locked) and trading volume.
Performance Tracking: Monitor KPIs such as partnership ROI, user growth, and market volume; provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
Event Participation: Represent the company at crypto conferences, hackathons, and industry events to network and promote our platform.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with legal, product, and tech teams to ensure seamless execution of business deals in a decentralized context.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: 3+ years in business development, sales, or partnerships within the crypto, blockchain, or fintech sectors. Experience in prediction markets, DeFi, or gambling/gaming industries is highly preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, smart contracts, tokenomics, and prediction market mechanics (e.g., how markets resolve via oracles). Familiarity with platforms like Augur, Polymarket, or similar Skills: order-book based knowledge.
Proven track record of closing high-value deals and building strategic alliances.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics, Dune
Analytics, or CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
Ability to thrive in a remote, fast-paced startup environment.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field;
MBA or certifications in blockchain (e.g., Certified Blockchain Expert) are a plus.
