How to use PancakeSwap X

PancakeSwap X is built directly into the familiar “Swap” interface and enabled for all users by default. To use PancakeSwap X, simply head to the Swap page and start trading.

Enable PancakeSwap X

In case X is not enabled. Click the settings icon in “Route” to open the settings modal, and then click “Customise Routing” to bring up the routing preference.

Within the “Customize Routing” modal, there will be a new switch for toggling PancakeSwap X for trade routes. Simply click or tap to toggle it on.

Once toggled, you may head back to the main Swap page. If the current Swap is available for PancakeSwap X, an indicator will show up in the “Route” section. With price impact and fees all being 0.

Please note that PancakeSwap X is not available for all the swaps. Its availability is subject to input, and output tokens, as well as the trade size and the network. If the swap can not be processed by PancakeSwap X, it will be routed through the AMM liquidity pools.

When a trade is going through PancakeSwap X, it will be highlighted in the “Route” section.

Submit Order

To submit the order, click “Swap”, then verify all the parameters in the “Confirm Swap” modal. If everything looks good, click “Confirm Swap” to continue.

If you haven’t approved the input token, your wallet will prompt you to approve. Please note that although swapping through PancakeSwap X does not require any gas token, approving for token spending does require gas.

After token approval, another wallet popup will appear to ask for signing on the order. Simple click “Confirm” to proceed. No gas cost or onchain transaction will be involved.

Once the order is submitted, a modal with progress bar will appear. You may close the modal, while your order will continue to be filled in the background.

Note that unlike regular AMM DEX liquidity pool swaps, once a PancakeSwap X order is submitted, it will take some time for the liquidity providers to respond and fill your order. It could take up to 2 minutes until the order is successfully filled.

Track your order status

To track your order status, open the wallet modal from wallet dropdown on top right. Click the “Transaction” button to bring up the list of orders. To see more detail of a specific order, simply click and open up the detail modal.

Once an order is successfully filled, you will see a green check mark on the order, while the purchased tokens being sent to your wallet automatically.
