# O que é Trade de Perpétuos?

Perpétuos, swaps perpétuos ou perps são um tipo especial de contrato futuro sem data de vencimento. 

A negociação de futuros permite que os usuários insiram posições na margem (alavancagem) usando fundos emprestados para otimizar o capital. O uso de alavancagem permite que um usuário insira uma posição com um tamanho maior que o saldo da conta. Por exemplo, um usuário pode tirar 10x de alavancagem e negociar 100 CAKE pelo preço de 10 CAKE. Neste exemplo, a margem inicial seria 10 CAKE que é usada para garantir a posição alavancada. 

Além da alavancagem, os futuros abrem a possibilidade de negociação em ambas as direções, comprando (long) e vendendo (short) perpétuos. Além disso, permite que a PancakeSwap ofereça mais ativos para negociar, mesmo ativos que não estão atualmente na BNB Smart Chain (BSC). Os contratos perpétuos não expiram e permitem que o holder aproveite a ação do preço de negociação do ativo subjacente sem possuí-lo.
