PancakeSwap은 자동화된 마켓 메이커(AMM)이며, Exchange는 PancakeSwap의 핵심입니다. PancakeSwap은 BNB Smart Chain의 대표적인 AMM이자, 통계가 말해 주듯 역대 가장 인기 있는 탈중앙화 거래소(DEX)입니다.

PancakeSwap Exchange는 탈중앙화 거래를 지원하는 여러 기능을 제공합니다.

### 스왑/거래

PancakeSwap에서는 중앙화 거래소를 거치지 않고 거래할 수 있습니다. PancakeSwap에서 하는 모든 활동은 본인의 지갑을 통해 직접 처리되므로, 다른 누군가에게 코인을 맡길 필요가 없습니다.

### 유동성 풀

PancakeSwap에서는 해당 토큰에 충분한 유동성이 있어야 스왑할 수 있습니다. 스왑하려는 토큰에 유동성이 거의 공급되지 않았다면 스왑이 어렵거나 비용이 많이 들거나 불가능할 수 있습니다.

유동성을 공급하면 LP 토큰을 받으며, 거래소에서 사용할 유동성이 항상 확보되도록 기여한 대가로 거래 수수료 형태의 보상을 얻게 됩니다.

### 일드 파밍

일드 파밍은 유동성을 공급하는 사용자가 LP 토큰을 스마트 컨트랙트에 예치하여 CAKE 보상을 받을 수 있게 하는 기능입니다. 유동성을 묶어 두면서 생기는 [비영구적 손실](https://academy.binance.com/en/articles/impermanent-loss-explained) 위험을 상쇄하도록 인센티브가 제공됩니다.

### Initial Farm Offerings (IFO)

Initial Farm Offering은 사용자가 신규 토큰을 한정 기간 동안 구매할 수 있는 이벤트입니다. IFO 가격은 보통 매우 유리하게 책정됩니다.
