veCAKE는 vote-escrowed CAKE(투표 에스크로 CAKE)를 의미합니다. veCAKE 토큰은 PancakeSwap 거버넌스에서 중요한 역할을 하며, [PancakeSwap 거버넌스 제안](https://pancakeswap.finance/voting)과 게이지 투표 시스템에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있게 해 줍니다. 이를 통해 더 폭넓은 거버넌스 제안에 투표하고 유동성 풀 내 CAKE 발행량 배분에 영향을 미칠 수 있습니다.
게이지 투표를 통해 veCAKE 보유자는 출시 시점 기준 BNB 체인, Ethereum, Arbitrum의 파밍과 같은 핵심 제품 전반에 걸친 CAKE 발행량 분배를 직접 설계할 수 있습니다. veCAKE를 활용하면 사용자가 각 풀 내 CAKE 발행량이 어떻게 배분되는지 직접 좌우할 수 있으며, 이는 특정 유동성 풀과 프로젝트에 영향을 줍니다. 게이지 투표를 통해 풀에 veCAKE가 많이 쌓일수록 더 많은 CAKE 발행량이 할당되며, 이후 14일 Epoch 동안 유동성 공급자(LP)의 보상이 늘어납니다.
CAKE를 1주부터 4년까지 원하는 기간 동안 락업하면 veCAKE를 받을 수 있습니다. veCAKE 수량은 락업한 CAKE의 수량과 락업 기간에 따라 결정됩니다.
